Trailer Tuesday

The second trailer for the much anticipated film - The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - gives viewers much more information to go on, for those who haven't seen the foreign version or read the book, but I still very much prefer the first trailer. Set to the Immigrant Song cover by Trent Reznor and Karen O (if someone finds a full length version of this song, please let me know so I can link it) the movie looks totally and completely B.A., my favorite, being the part that gives me goosebumps, is towards the end when the mini description of the movie flash between different scenes, namely the snowy drive. Being that director David Fincher has directed some pretty awesome films in the past, I think that it is safe to say that this movie will not be a disappointment and that it will, as the trailer says, be the "Feel Bad Movie of Christmas" (feel free to insert chills).

Lynne Ramsay is the writer, director, and producer of this haunting indie flick entitled We Need to Talk About Kevin. The trailer makes the movie look like it is about a child, Kevin, who grew up around a mother who did not love him - or a mother who was freaked out by her child and suffering from postpartum depression, Tilda Swinton has the perfect 'far off' look on her face during the trailer - and so begins his post-pubescent years passive aggressively taunting her. John C. Reilly's voice over "He's just a sweet little boy, that's what boys do" adds to the creepiness that most children/teens bring to horror movies, or thriller in this case. Looking forward to this one for sure!

The name of this movie taints what Wanderlust really means. I do not mean to offend any fans of Jan Aniston, but...really? A big city couple gets swept away by people living in a modern day commune after traveling all over the country because the husband lost his job? I swear Paul Rudd goes from good film, to awful film, from good, to awful. Some actors just can't say no to any film that comes their way (Jen An). This one looks like just another train wreck that people will still go and see.

May your daydreams be full of adventures and happy thoughts.
